About the Author

James Brown is a professor emeritus of mathematics in the College of Arts, Science and Letters. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan in the year 1964.

Ruel V Churchill did his BS in Physics at the Chicago University. He followed this up with an MS and a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. He taught operational mathematics at the Michigan University in 1922. He was a professor emeritus of mathematics at the Michigan University at the time of his death in 1987. He is the co - author of Modern Operational Mathematics in Engineering.
